Join fellow Columbia alumni for a day of service at the Good Seed Shelter's new Long Beach Drop-In location. We will help Good Seed prepare for their upcoming Open House, where they will show the community what they have to offer.
There are several ways for CU alumni to help! On-site duties will include:
- painting
- gardening
- cleaning
- other tasks to make the site presentation-ready
Additionally, Good Seed is accepting books, magazines, clothing, blankets and shoes (especially men’s clothing and shoes).

As the youth is ready, staff can connect them to supportive services to assist them in working toward stability and recovery.
Services offered at the Long Beach location: Showers, meals, clothing, laundry, computer/internet access, housing assistance, employment assistance, linkage to mental health, medical services and substance abuse treatment facilities, life-skills groups social activities, and much more!
